Grade 5 Science - More on Test

The students have been given two four-page booklets to help them study for their unit test on Thursday. The first booklet is an outline of all the information in the unit on which they will be tested. The second is the same booklet, with a bunch of the key words removed and blanks put in. They should also study the labs we did, and be able to give examples from the labs of the concepts in the outline.

Grade 5 Science

TEST TEST TEST
We have been doing lots of labs in Chemistry - ask your kids about them. We are wrapping up the Chemistry unit this week. We will review for a couple of days next week, and probably have the unit test next Wednesday. There's lots of vocabulary in this unit, so you may want to start reviewing this weekend.

Grade 6 Math

We are working on naming improper fractions and mixed numbers. The kids have a 2-sided handout on this that is due tomorrow.

Friday we will be having our weekly multiplication facts quiz. The class average went way up last week - great work! There are still a few kids that need a lot more practise. They will be coming in next week at lunch for "Mr. Seland's Multiplication Facts Club!"

Grade 6 Science

We did a lab today on properties of air. The write-up for this is due on Thursday.
